Les Amis du NMWA are pleased to announce the results of the first step of our successful crowdfunding operation: Urgence Artistes Femmes!

Dear friends,

We have the pleasure to share with you the results of our first phase of our crowdfunding operation Urgence Artistes Femmes, dedicated to women artists whose career has been strongly affected by the COVID pandemic. Thanks to our collaboration with Les Amis des Artistes on instagram; artists ‘ works sale through instagram which ended on the 1st of December, we have reached our objectives for step 1.

Urgence Artistes Femmes is supported by a curatorial team and Jury composed of:

Nathalie Herschdorfer, Marianne Dollo, Anna Labouze, Mathieu Mercier, Thomas Schlesser and Keimis Henni.

The 5 artists selected by our Jury are:

Each artist will receive a grant that will finance in full or in part an art project which will be revealed in 2021 during the Urgences Artistes Femmes exhibit at Les Magasins Généraux in Pantin as soon as COVID permits. We will also propose studio visits: they are so eager to see and make contact with us!

UAF continues! We will not stop such a successful crowdfundind! Phase 2 starts in order to grant other scholarships to women artists beyond 45 years old.
